"Visit Georgia" offers you the ideal way
to see all the very best in our country. Our flexibility and
imagination enable us to bring a new approach to tourism in
Georgia. That's why when designing tours we always give our
customers a chance not only to see Georgia from a foreigner's
point of view but also to experience the authentic life of
the country. This is what distinguishes our company from the
rest!
As a visitor you may admire the beauty of Georgian nature,
see ancient historical monuments and visit fascinating museums,
but you will never truly know Georgia until you have heard
the unique polyphony of Georgian songs, seen the graceful
national dances, visited a local village for lunch and seen
how people live, or simply taken a local train and enjoyed
a ride through picturesque forests and villages.
Lunch in the Village of Gavazi - Forget for a moment
you are a tourist and leave behind the usual restaurant fare
- it's good of course but never quite as delicious as home-made
food! Lunch is served in a local Kakhetian village under a
canopy of vines & fruit trees. The table is laden with
fresh home-made food and jars of the famous home-made Kakhetian
wine - you can drink as much as you like! You can see the
family's clay bread-oven, still smelling of freshly-baked
bread and the wine-cellar with its underground clay vessels
brimming with wine. Take a stroll around the village to meet
the locals... and don't be surprised if you leave with an
armful of presents and a friend for life!
The Train-Ride from the ski resort of Bakuriani to
the spa town of Borjomi is not only one of the Visit Georgia
highlights, but will be one of the highlights of your trip!
Don't expect the train to be as fast as the ones in the West,
it is tiny and slow - that's the whole charm and advantage
of it! You can ride out on the platform of the moving train
as it meanders through the forest, passing many little villages.
To your surprise you will find out that the train even goes
over the Eiffel Bridge, built by the famous French engineer
for the son of the Russian Tsar Nicholas I.
Folk Show - Georgian folk songs and dances are a rarity even
in the capital, but "Visit Georgia" offers you a
special treat - dinner followed by a Georgian folk show! The
polyphonic Georgian music goes deep into your heart; the graceful
movements of dancers floating on the stage catch your eye,
and even their national costumes impart something of the Georgian
character. This is one of the Georgian experiences you will
truly treasure!
