THE LAND OF GOLDEN FlEECE

Travel to Imereti province – the famous Land of the Golden Fleece where Jason and the Argonauts sailed. En-route we travel to the town of Gori – the heart of Kartli region. Photo stop at Stalin’s house and statue, then visit Uplistsikhe cave town (1^st millennium BC). Then we continue to Kutaisi – the second largest city in Georgia. Overnight in Kutaisi at a family guesthouse. Next morning visit Bagrati Cathedral (11^th century) and Gelati Monastery and Academy (12^th century) – both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In the evening return to Tbilisi.
