BIKE TOURS
Different landscapes provide a good opportunity for organising both cross-country and mountain bike tours in Georgia. While biking in beautiful nature travellers will have a chance to visit ancient historical monuments, meet local people and get acquainted with local traditions and lifestyle.
Adventure Cycling Tour
Tbilisi sightseeing tour.
Visit Mtskheta and from there cycle to Gudauri en route visiting Ananuri complex.
The whole day we bike via Cross Pass in Truso gorge. Overnight in Kazbegi.
In the morning we cycle up to Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170m. Afterwards we bike in Dariali gorge until we get to the foot of Devdoraki glacier (1.5 hour).
We head to the village of Juta. We cycle through the narrow passes along the noisy Jutistskali river en route visiting local villages. Afterwards we continue to Mt Chaukhebi on bikes or on foot.
From Kazbegi we bike down to Mtskheta junction and then drive to Igoeti. From there we again continue cycling downhill on the off-road to Uplistsikhe cave town. Overnight in Gori.
Today we travel in the Little Caucasus mountains. We drive to Borjomi spa town and then cycle up to Bakuriani ski resort. Overnight in Bakuriani.
The whole day cycling on the volcanic plateau via beautiful Tskratskaro Pass (2454 m) and Tabatskuri lake. Overnight in a local family near Vardzia cave town.
We visit Vardzia cave town and then cycle along the Mtkvari river to the town of Akhaltsikhe.
In the morning we bike to Abastumani (1680m) – a resort famous for its unique climate, fresh air and coniferous forest. At night through the telescope we can observe at the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter and stars.
Overnight in Abastumani.
From Abastumani we cycle via Zekari Pass (2182m) to the another spa resort – Sairme, famous with its mineral water. Overnight in Sairme.
We head to West Georgia to the city of Kutaisi and stay there for two nights.
We visit Bagrati Cathedral ruins, Gelati Monastery and Motsameta – the church of the martyrs.
In the morning we drive back to Tbilisi. Free afternoon. Farewell diner in a Georgian restaurant.

Cross-Country Cycling Tour

Total distance: 200 km Cycling distance: 60 km
We travel to Telavi via Gombori Pass. We first drive on the main road and then start cycling in the beautiful nature. En route we visit Shuamta monastery and the ruins of Ujarma Fortress.
Full day cycling in Kakheti region visiting Gremi complex, Nekresi Monastery (half an hour walking uphill) and a 300-year-old wine-cellar. We have lunch in a local family with home made food and famous Kakhetian wine.
Today we cycle in another part of Kakheti and visit Ikalto Academy and Alaverdi Cathedral.
In the morning we drive to David Gareja cave complex via Sagarejo (55 km). Once we are off the main road we start cycling. We return to Tbilisi via Rustavi.
We drive to Mtskheta and from there cup along the Georgian Military Highway to Gudauri. Overnight in Gudauri ski resort (2200m.).
