VisitGeorgia awarded Travelife Partner Status

Our Sustainability Mission

Travel Agency VisitGeorgia is committed to strengthening local communities, keeping traditions alive, minimizing our environmental footprint, and ensuring a healthy working environment for our staff by implementing sustainable practices and procedures.

This policy applies to VisitGeorgia’s senior management, employees, and the local service providers. Its impact will be experienced by families living in rural areas within the scope of our cooperation, as well as the company’s workforce.

Promoting sustainable tourism is a top priority for VisitGeorgia, which is entirely Georgian business and all it’s income stays in a country. Our company has been supporting the development of local economies, employment of local people and conservation of nature for already 25+ years.

We constantly work on various projects in order to create new tourism products. Our sustainable actions aim to improve living conditions in regions, promote local employment, and create new possibilities for the young generations at their native places.

We would love to talk with you about our complete policy and we are always eager to hear suggestions for improvement, so please get in touch if you have any questions.

We help locals to live a fulfilling life where they call home

Sustainable Tourism for 25+ Years

We would love to show you a few examples of our long-term sustainability policy in action: how we cooperated with these hard-working local people to make the benefits of responsible tourism.

1. Local Guesthouses

We encourage small and medium-sized enterprises, especially local guesthouses. Our financial assistance and guaranteed collaboration give them possibility to have a constant income, strengthen local community and improve general well-being.

2. Local Transport

We try our best to provide new job opportunities for people living in mountainous regions through hiring local transport. Our sustainable policy has been working successfully for years and natives prefer to stay in their towns or villages and contribute to the local economies.

3. Local Families and Master Classes

Maintaining traditions and culture is our priority and that’s why we actively collaborate with local families. They show travelers how unique the Georgian lifestyle is by organizing lunches and masterclasses. We constantly search for new families, train them in service management and attempt to ensure their welfare.

4. Wine Cellars

Georgia is the homeland of wine and therefore, wine tasting is a significant part of our tours. We collaborate with not only corporations but also family wineries throughout the county and contribute to their development and financial stability. Currently, we encourage winemakers, who are focused on bioproduction, restoration of old vine varieties, and promoting unknown wine regions.

5. Environment

VisitGeorgia realizes it’s moral obligation to take care of nature. We try our best to deal with climate change, use energy recourses rationally and protect the environment. Our sustainability manager organizes special seminars and green events in order to achieve tangible results.
